Brand, Content, & Storytelling

Project Overview

As Director of Communications for the third-largest Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, I led all aspects of public-facing messaging, digital presence, and visual communications. My work centered around strengthening community trust, improving transparency, and building a consistent, professional brand identity for the agency. This included overseeing internal communications, press relations, event outreach, and creative design across platforms.

My Role

I managed the full communications strategy, leading both the Public Information and Community Relations teams. I created a comprehensive brand guide and social media policy to align all messaging and produced content ranging from press releases and web copy to dynamic visual design. As the lead creative, I developed and maintained three agency websites, serving as the primary designer for digital and print assets, including annual reports, presentations, brochures, flyers, and social media graphics. I also coordinated internal and external events, instructed at law enforcement training conferences, and managed the division’s budget. A key focus was using visual storytelling to build a connection and understanding between the agency and the community.

Key Deliverables
  • Annual reports and printed brochures

  • Flyers, posters, and branded event collateral for community engagement

  • Social media content and video campaigns
